Tigers, Titans, And Grizzlies, Oh My!

This past holiday season many sports fans found exactly what they wanted under the tree. However, the real gift was for the moms and other gift givers who were able to find the sports gear for four different teams all under one roof.

The gift giving solution came from the Tennessee Sports Zone’s four product lines. The exclusive product lines features the Tennessee Vols, the Memphis Tigers, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Tennessee Titans. This collection of fan merchandise is a team huddle you could never find anywhere else.

While this lineup may at first seem unwieldy, Sports Zone owner Greg Blatt has pulled together a catalog of top quality merchandise. Now the diverse customer base is begging for more." It became clear that people want more than just team logo merchandise. Today consumers are searching for quality products,” says Blatt. “Everywhere they look fans are finding merchandise of poor quality and they want something better. Our goal is to sell the hard to find and exclusive team items that give customers a better product than what they can find in mass merchandise stores.”

And the concept seems to be working because customers are flocking into the Sports Zone in large numbers. Blatt reports that sales in some product lines have doubled or even tippled in the last year. The record sales has made it apparent that the Sport Zone’s diverse products are what customers want. Blatt said, “From T-shirts to Dog Collars we stock such a wide variety of products you just can’t find this many items for this many teams, anywhere else.

Blatt plans for the Sports Zone to reach out to each team’s fans in a more targeted way. This year he unveiled a new company logo and the ‘zones’ identity that will more closely resemble each team line that is featured. Plans call for more team focused marketing and team specific events that will bring out the fan bases to events featuring the products, players and staff of the four teams.
